On 4th July 2017, barely 10 days after launching CRE, we got a call from Suchir who was looking for planners for his sisters wedding. It was to be a Monsoon wedding in August for an intimate crowd of 80 at The Leela Goa.

We had a quick call with the bride who was working in the US. She wanted the wedding to be extremely simple with none of the typical traditional ceremonies. She wanted a Moroccan theme decor for Mehendi-Sangeet followed by a simple setup for the Wedding.

A quick visit to Leela Goa with her parents, a week of designing, and we were brought onboard as the wedding planners. On 14th July, we had our first confirmed wedding at the beautiful Leela Goa. This wedding will forever be special to all of us. We’ll forever be indebted to the Jindal’s for the faith they showed in us.

The Sangeet was Moroccan and we had a beautiful backdrop created for the bride who was to get her mehendi done. The rest of the decor for the evening was meant to be free flowing. We had Moroccan themed cabanas inside the ballroom with a Moroccan Bar. We accentuated the look by adding lots of Moroccan lamps and by using rich Moroccan colours in the decor.

The second day was for the guests to unwind and enjoy. We chose a Burgundy and Gold theme for this night. Our bride had found areference in the night which was coincidentally the same reference that we had shared with her in the day. We created an aisle for the bride as she wanted the ceremony to be extremely western. There were toasts followed by cake cutting and first dance by the couple.

And that’s how the journey of this couple and CRE began. Here is to dreaming and working real hard to make those dreams come true!!!
